你好吗? How are you? Guten Tag!

Hi, my name is Xinyu. I received my Master’s degree in Educational Technology and Applied Learning Science (METALS) at Carnegie Mellon University.

Previously, I had K-12 student teaching experience with a degree from UW-Madison. After graduation, I thought for a while about where my passion would drive me to. I am always looking for means to support my learners but in a more impactful way, and METALS was a great place to sustain my interest because I could design powerful educational products that benefit learners around the world.

While working with learners, I recognized that research paves the foundation for product design, and it’s so important that learners’ voices are being heard.

Later at WGU Labs, my work focused on exploring users’ needs and motivations. I wish that with my research skills, I can build bridges between the users and the products.
